Birthday :: Hotel and Riverwalk (Long post ahead...you have been warned)

(You can read my first birthday entry here!)

As you know, my birthday celebrations lasted a week, and for two of those days, Anim and I got to go to a hotel which was right on the Riverwalk. Here's what we did:

Evening 1:
Anim arrived at the hotel before I did, because I was working with my Dad and Memo. But when I got there, we immediately took advantage of the spa/jaccuzzi. The weather was FREEZING, but because the tub was so hot, we didn't feel it.
We were very excited.... =D
I love how this picture I took of Anim came out. A bit eerie.

The amazing view
I actually almost passed out. haha! Anim was making me go out into the freezing cold to do a victory stance. The hot water had made me super tired, so I was trying my best to lift my arms in the air, and I could barely move. It was such a weird feeling, and I was seriously going to faint, which of course Anim thought was hilarious!

The worst part? Not one of the pictures she took came out. They were all blurry because of her shaking while laughing at me.

Day 1:
The weather was perfect! It was cool and sunny - amazing for walking on the Riverwalk. We left in the morning after breakfast and walked along taking pictures. We walked ALOT that day, and it was so refreshing. Once, we got off track, and ended up on a street with alot of homeless people on it, but we were able to quickly get back on the Riverwalk. It was a bit scary, but thank the Lord, we didn't get lost again. =)
We found this gorgeous waterfall and had to take photos there.
A couple came walking by and said, "We'll take a photo for you if you take one
for us..."
Oh, sure!

This was the cutest, tiniest duckling I've ever seen! It was him and his brother (or sister? wtv)
and their mom was just swimming way off, leaving them alone. =(

We found a butterfly! =)
We stopped for lunch at an Italian restaurant. The food was delicious! If you ever visit the Riverwalk, I definitely recommend Paisanos. Unless you are Italian.......then I don't know how good it would be. =) But for us who don't know what Italian food in Italy tastes like, it was so good! And the serving size was great. Big enough to take leftovers for dinner. =D

Yuuuummmm

After lunch, we made our way back to the hotel.

The spa was once again put to use, but wisely, we only stayed in for about 5 minutes. Our friends told us that you are only supposed to be in there for 15 minutes or less, but the first time we had stayed in for almost an hour. No wonder I was going to pass out...
Can I just tell you that I'm very jealous of Anim's pjs?
Day 2:
Time to go home! We got up early, cleaned up the room according to the instructions, and then headed down to the lobby to wait for Dad to pick us up. Oh, I bet you didn't know this about me, but  I love playing pool! And that's what I did all morning. Against myself.
I tried to get Anim to play with me, but she gave up after a few tries.
An old man came to watch me for awhile. It made me a bit nervous because I thought he was some great pool player (and just because I like pool, doesn't mean I'm super good at it.), but it turns out he didn't know a thing about the game. Phewph!

When Dad came, I challenged him to a game, and he readily accepted. =)
He's good. Let's just say my skill level hasn't quite reached his, and there was no beginners luck. =)

So this post has finally come to an end. I hope you enjoyed!

Oh, and I'm having problems uploading photos on blogger. It's acting really weird. Anyone else having issues?

    1. No, the spa was basically a jaccuzzi on the roof......& it was freezing outside. =) I'm not sure why they called it a spa...maybe it sounds fancier. =D
